Hildegard Victoria Poe

	Hildegard Victoria Poe, age 86, of Pinckneyville, died at her home on Saturday, July 27, 2002 at 9:06 p.m.
	Hildegard was born in Pinckneyville on June 3, 1916, the daughter of Jacob and Theresa (Hoffman) Epplin.  She married Clifford L. Poe on January 3, 1942 in St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2000.  Before her marriage to Clifford, she worked at the Perry County Courthouse and later worked with her husband as an office manager for Pinckneyville Plumbing & Heating.  She was a member of the St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and enjoyed making quilts for her family and the church.
	Survivors include three daughters, Angela DeLoach of Warner Robins, Ga., Marilyn Craig and husband Minor of Coulterville and Janet Hampton and husband John of Grafton; five sons, Roger Poe and wife Betsey of Alpharetta, Ga., George Poe and wife Nancy of Mount Morris, Donald Poe and wife Bilin of Duluth, Minn., Bruce Poe and wife Beth of Hamilton, Mich. and Mike Poe and wife Carol of Pinckneyville; three sisters, Christina Elkins of Pinckneyville, Florence Eisfelder of Pinckneyville and Marcella Fontana of DuQuoin; 26 grandchildren and four great-grandsons.
	She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a granddaughter, Sharon Craig; a son-in-law, Bob DeLoach and three brothers, Herman Epplin, John Epplin and Jacob Epplin.
	Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 30 in the St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville at 11 a.m. with Father John Venegoni officiating.  Interment was in the St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery in Pinckneyville.
	Visitation was held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville on Monday, July 29 from 5 until 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 30 from 8 until 10:30 a.m.  The Rosary was said on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
	Memorials will be made to the St. Bruno School Endowment Fund or Hospice of Perry County/Hospital Home Care.
